Privacy Policy

This covers the bikit account, shared by the apps on bikit.cc. Apps that keep data of their own, such as sync2garmin, describe it in their own policies.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller is the operator of bikit. Contact: info@bikit.cc.

What we keep

• Your e-mail address, when you confirmed it, and a hash of your password if you set one.
• Your Google account id, if you log in with Google. We never see your Google password.
• The setups you save: a name, your weight and your bike's, average power, position, riding style, tire and pressure.
• Login sessions: a hash of the token in the cookie, and when it was created and last used.
• The language you pick.
• IP addresses: for up to 2 days to limit login and e-mail attempts, and in the server's technical logs.

Why we use it

• To run your account and fill in your settings in the bikit apps (performance of a contract).
• To send the link that confirms your e-mail and the link that sets a new password (performance of a contract). We send no other e-mails.
• To protect accounts from abuse (our legitimate interest).

Who receives it

The bikit apps you use while logged in read your e-mail and your setups. Our hosting provider stores the database for us, and our e-mail provider delivers the e-mails. If you log in with Google, Google knows you log in to bikit. We do not sell data or use it for ads.

How long we keep it

• Your account and setups: until you delete the account.
• Accounts whose e-mail was never confirmed: deleted after 7 days.
• Login sessions: 90 days after their last use, or until you log out.

You delete the account yourself on the account page. It is gone at once, with its setups and sessions.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and move your data, to restrict its processing and to object. You can complain to a data protection authority; in Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Cookies

• bikit_session: keeps you logged in across the apps on bikit.cc.
• bikit_page: for an hour, holds messages shown on the page and secures logging in with Google.
• bikit_lang and bike-theme: remember the language and the light or dark look.

There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
